Finishing Class – One Day Only

Do you have any “unfinished paintings” or paintings you just don’t know what to do with? Bring them to this class and discover techniques and ideas designed to help you complete them.
Cost: $20. Must register for this class as space is limited.

Special Techniques in Watercolor – Intermediate Level – 4 Weeks

Session I Thursday –June 27, July 11, 18, & 25 Time: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Note: No class on July 4th

Session II Thursday – August 1, 8, 22 & 29 Time: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Note: No class on August 15th

On an early morning, a light fog envelopes a lake shore…Tops of mountains catch the light of the setting sun…These scenes and many more are examples of how your surroundings can influence your painting. Join me in this set of classes as you learn to select warm and cool colors that will best convey the mood you want to suggest.
Cost: $80 plus supplies. Supply list mailed upon registration.

Please note that all of my Special Techniques classes are designed to help you paint loose and free as you learn how to control the water in watercolor. You will learn techniques designed to help you achieve light in your watercolor landscapes. “Throwing” & “Pouring” paint helps to easily create beautiful washes. Learning color transition control is fun and keeps paintings “less-detailed.”

Semi-Abstract in Watercolor – A Two-Day Workshop

Friday & Saturday – July 26 & 27…………………………..……..Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Take a different approach to your watercolor painting by blending realism with abstraction to create a semi-abstract painting. We will study the elements and principles of design, which will help you to create a great composition.
Cost: $135. Supply list mailed upon registration. Bring a bag lunch.

Grape Expectations

Friday – August 9th……………………………………..Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Create textures that capture the essence of grapes hanging on grape vines as you learn to design space and sharpen your negative painting skills. Lots of great lessons here that you can utilize in all of your paintings. Go home with some small paintings as well as a large one.
Cost: $70 plus supplies. Supply list mailed upon registration. Bring a bag lunch.
